Why are people leaving Vermont? Inbred, Hick Fascists

Vermont is where I grew up. I was born in Berlin, grew up in Randolph Center, went to VTC and then lived in Barre until I finally moved to Tucson. Why Tucson? Because I had family there and because I love the desert, but the big reason I left Vermont is because of Republicans.

In a previous article, I outlined why Republicans are fascists, with evidence to support that claim. Vermont Republicans take it to an extreme, and it's because they're a dying breed (thankfully). When you think of a backwards, inbred hick, you're probably thinking of a Vermont Republican: Caterpillar hat, ripped and dirty jeans, flannel shirt/vest, scraggly beard, beat-ass truck (always American) with guns/gun racks in the window, living in a run-down house with at least 2-3 brats, and the white trash townie mom standing there in her own ripped jeans/t-shirt, cig hanging off her lip, shouting about how the husband is such an asshole for drinkin' beer with the guys and huntin' all the time instead of at home, while country music blares in the background.

These are the people who I interacted with daily in small-town Vermont. Which is to say, most of the state, since the only "cities" of note are Burlington, Rutland, and Montpelier, and Rutland is pretty fucking run-down. The only real reason they vote for environmental initiatives (and not that often) is because they keep the wilderness as it is, so these yokels can go hunting and fishing, not out of any desire to preserve the environment.

The reason I'm bringing this up is because recently I read an article on the local TV station's facebook page about whether or not VT Senator Bernie Sanders should run for President.

Now we educated folk know it's too early to be talking about Presidential elections, when we have a midterm to win in a month, but it is what it is. I decided to read the comments on the page, and I was amazed at how many inbreds had internet access. The comments ranged from:

"Bernie Sanders has done nothing substantial for the Vermont people. I lived there all my life until now and it was always a struggle to get ahead.. I made good money but taxes and the cost of living is ridiculous and nothing will change there.. I see all my friends struggling too.. I had the sense to get out. I live in Florida now and couldn't be happier cost of living is cheaper.. houses are 3 times the house you can get in VT and property taxes are less then a third of what I paid in VT .. VT is beautiful and I will miss it for some things, but it's not worth the $.. it drives more and more people out every year.. I wonder why?? Bernie Sanders is all about giving away benefits and making sure people get what they feel they are untitled too but not willing to work for, but does nothing to lower the real costs that everyone else has to deal with. He's a extreme left socialist liberal and he would destroy the country. I don't know about anyone else but I don't want to live in a Socialist state!! You deserve what you earn not what the government decides to give you!! And oh yeah.. I would like to keep my guns thank you!"

As you can clearly see, these people are stupid, deranged, and sociopathic. That last one was from a little white girl who is clearly a racist and clearly needs to finish school and be removed from her racist parents. Like begets like after all.

These comments really pissed me off in a different way, though. They all claim they get nothing from liberals, and yet are first in line with their hands out when they need help (like #2 claims WE do), and that if only they had Libertarian style anarcho-freedom, everything would be fixed. The amount of idiocy in that way of thinking is so colossal that it defies comprehension.

Republicans are the masters of projecting their own behaviors and faults onto others, and I have to believe that somewhere deep down, they know it's wrong, but they do it anyways to keep up appearances and not be labeled as a sympathizer by their hateful and bigoted compatriots. I know there's no evidence of that and that they're most likely just rotten to the core, but who knows, I could be surprised.

Regardless, the fact remains that these inbred mental defectives are the main reason why anyone leaves Vermont. I got so sick of interacting with them on a daily basis (I worked for an answering service and talking to these people literally made my brain hurt) that I developed a plan to leave and implemented it as quickly as possible. It was bad enough having to fight the snow and ice and mud and shit weather and lack of things to do, but dealing with those fascists daily was the proverbial straw, and the threats of violence to me and the ACTUAL damage to my car were just a few of the catalysts for my exodus.

My friends and family don't even know this either, mainly because I didn't want to worry them, but also because it didn't matter anymore. I'm out, I live in Tucson, a very liberal city, and I don't have to deal with ANY of that crap anymore. People see Vermont as very progressive, lots of hippies, etc., and it is, but there's the dark underside to the state that no one outside of the state knows about, because Vermonters are very insular. Republican inbred fascists rule the wilds of Vermont, and no amount of education is going to change that.

We just need to breed them out. I love Vermont, and I absolutely DETEST these scum. There is no redemption possible for these cavemen. Only obsolescence.

The US Media: purposefully lying to you since Reaganomics

It's very telling how the US mainstream media (owned by Rupert Murdoch and other Fascists) has remained almost completely silent on the war going on in Kiev.

And yes, it is a war, between the people of the Ukraine who want to join the EU and the rest of the Western world, and the dictatorial government who just want to hold on to their power as long as possible, no matter who it hurts. I had to go to UK news sites to find out what is really going on. Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin must have been taking notes from the Ukrainian President, because the Ukrainian gov't cut off all discussion about any changes involving joining the EU very abruptly, and when people started to peacefully protest, he outlawed ALL protesting and police began arresting/beating/silencing all of the peaceful protestors.

I found one Fox "News" article online about it, and it dances the line between painting the protestors as crazy rioters against their rightful and benevolent gov't, and then sympathizing with them because they're fighting those mean and nasty dictator wannabes. The whole article is pointless and does nothing to educate anyone about what is ACTUALLY going on.

So let me ask you this, Citizens: what happens when you have a right to peacefully protest government decisions, to make sure your voice is heard, and then that right is summarily abolished and you get tossed into prison (if you're lucky), or you get the shit beaten out of you by riot police for holding a sign (if you're unlucky)?

Well, you'd probably do what the angry populace of Kiev have done, and started fighting back against the jackbooted thugs who are trying to shut you up. It's very obvious to any rational person that President Yanukovych's promises to reform his cabinet fell flat. Yanukovych is very pro-Moscow, and will obviously do anything to stay in that bully Putin's good graces. The protests in Ukraine were peaceful right up until he stupidly outlawed protesting. When you take away the people's right to be heard... well, you know the outcome of THAT.

I doubt there would have been any full-scale battles if police hadn't started shooting people. Five dead by police snipers (so not just a random buster taking out his piece and randomly shooting someone), and you'll have not just panic, but rage. When your government orders police to start shooting people peacefully making themselves heard... yeah, you're going to have a fucking war.

This all should sound familiar to those of us who haven't had any of the Republican Kool-Aid. No wonder the Right doesn't want anyone here to know about it, they might get ideas, or realize that they've been duped this whole time, and that they do, in fact, have the power to change it. They've managed to discredit liberals in the blind eyes of their sheep with their control of the US media, but I can almost guarantee that if the GOP can end all federal assistance like Medicare and SNAP, it'll be their own voters who will protest, and when the shooting starts and those same teabillies start dying to their own dear Fascists' commands... you'll see things change right fucking quick.

I can only hope they'll realize that the people they've vilified and hated for trying to enlighten them to this shit were right all along, and smarten the fuck up. I don't WANT to see a violent uprising, but I can almost guarantee one if Republicans keep going the way they are. I don't want to see this place turn into another Ukraine.
